Our Journey: A Timeline of Growth & Innovation
1987 – The Beginning: A Small Workshop in Australia
Our story began in 1987 with a small family-run garment workshop in Australia, producing quality apparel for local clients.
Built on a foundation of craftsmanship, customer care, and reliability, this workshop laid the foundation for what would become a globally connected manufacturing business.
1990 – Westlee Pty Ltd Established
We launched Westlee Pty Ltd, expanding into sourcing and production management for Australian retailers and private labels.
2002 – Le Stitches Co., Ltd Opened in Vietnam
We established our first production facility in Ho Chi Minh City to support growing demand with scalable, hands-on manufacturing control.
2005 – Joined Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS)
We became proud members of VITAS, aligning with national standards and contributing to the development of Vietnam’s textile industry.
2010 – Woven Garment Division Added
We expanded production into woven garments, adding tailored pants, skirts, dresses, and uniforms to our product offerings.
2012 – Enhanced Quality Control Systems
Our quality processes were upgraded with internal AQL 2.5 inspection protocols and end-line QC tracking to ensure consistent excellence.
2015 – Lean Manufacturing Introduced
We implemented lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase responsiveness across our production lines.
2016 – Activewear Division Launched
A dedicated activewear division was introduced, specializing in ergonomic fits, moisture-wicking fabrics, and performancewear for global markets.
2018 – Exhibited at Global Sources Hong Kong Show
We gained international exposure by showcasing at one of Asia’s leading apparel sourcing exhibitions, forging lasting partnerships.
2019 – Sublimation Printing Division Launched
We added in-house sublimation printing to offer high-quality, full-color garment decoration for sportswear, uniforms, and fashion brands.
2020 – Digital Workflow Integration Begins
We digitized internal processes to enhance production tracking, interdepartmental communication, and client transparency.
2021 – Sustainability Initiative Introduced
We rolled out energy-saving measures including LED lighting, water conservation, solar power, and waste reduction programs.
2022 – Commitment to Certified Sustainable Materials
We began using Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 and bluesign®-approved fabrics, reinforcing our focus on safe, responsible textile sourcing.
2023 – SDA Apparel Co., Ltd (Phase 1 Complete)
We opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Tien Giang Province, focused on scalable production and eco-conscious operations.
2024 – SDA Apparel Expansion Fully Completed
Our factory reached full capacity with up to 300,000 garments/month, equipped with advanced machinery and green infrastructure.
2025 – Automatic Fabric Spreading & Laser Cutting Added
We upgraded our production setup with automated fabric spreading and precision laser cutting, improving speed, material yield, and accuracy.
